Persuasive Writing on our new New Zealand flag

Our new New Zealand flag 

 

Dear Mr John Key 

I strongly believe we should have the above flag as our new New Zealand flag.

My first point is that the flag above has the fern which represents NZ because the fern is on our sports teams and it's widely recognized around the world. 

Secondly the colours of black and white are our country's colors and our national rugby team is called the All Blacks so black is good for our country's flag. 

Lastly and strongly the above flag us unique to NZ and it is instantly recognizable from our neighboring countries and islands. 

In conclusion we should have the above flag as our new New Zealand flag.

THE BEST FLAG FOR N.Z

Dear voting adults of New Zealand,

In my opinion I agree that our current flag should still be held as New Zealand's flag.

First of all, the symbols of the flag represents our country, like the Union Jack. It represents our bond with Britain. It also represents our ancestors that came from Britain.  Also, the red is the same color as the British flag.

Secondly, the flag represents our history from the past. Back then our New Zealand Army and our soldiers have had a huge impact on our country. They fought for our current flag. They even died for our flag. That is why we celebrate A.N.Z.A.C day for our people who fought and died for our flag.

And lastly to acknowledge our founders. If it were not for them we would not be here right now. We have a lot of history with Britain.  It also acknowledges our ancestors and our N.Z army. It might not be recognizable, but it represents our founders of New Zealand.

So that is why our current flag should be kept.

The Best Flag For New Zealand

Dear Voting Adults,

I strongly believe that the flag option above is best for New Zealand.

My first reason is that we should put some Maori culture in the flag not only British culture. Also the Southern Cross is special to New Zealand because it is only seen in the continent of Oceania.

Secondly the colours like blue for the water that surrounds New Zealand, Red for a bit of British culture because they helped with the roads and buildings, and Black for the sports teams like All Blacks and Black Caps, and white for some sport's teams like All Whites.  Also for the way we are known as the “Land of the long white cloud”. These colours surely represent New Zealand.

Lastly, we need instant recognition because our current flag looks very similar to Australia's and some people get confused. Also some other countries who had the union jack changed their flag like Canada and India and now they love their flag.

These points make it clear that the above flag is the best flag for New Zealand.
