Announcement from Miss Stewart . . .

Sadly D3 I will not be back at school this term.  Mr Brookie will be your teacher on Monday and Mrs Havill your teacher for the rest of the week.

Our portfolios and reports will go out to your parents next term.  Parent teacher interviews will happen early Term 3.

I have not set any homework for you this week but there are plenty of tasks on mathletics and studyladder for you to do.  Send me through any certificates you are awarded and I will have these ready for you next term.

Wednesday you will enjoy a concert from Caleb.M, Victoria and Talia.  Netball will happen Wednesday afternoon as usual, as well as Inter-tribe netball at lunchtime.

Remember to return your school library books.

There will be no pizza lunch this Friday - postponed until next term.

Enjoy your last week of term. You have all worked hard and deserve a refreshing holiday break.  Keep well and I look forward to seeing you all next term.

Blessings

Miss Stewart

School Announcements

School Announcements

Important announcement - updated 2 July
Sadly, we must advise that there has been a confirmed case of measles in the secondary school.
Following liaison with the Public Health Service on Friday 1st July, we are now able to advise that:
  • School will be open on Monday 4th July
  • 67 children have been identified as not-immune and will be staying home in isolation until the end of Friday 8th July. All affected families have been contacted by our administration team.
  • All other children must attend school on Monday 4th July.
  • 6 staff will also be staying at home in isolation and so their classes/roles will be managed in their absence.
  • Interviews for Mrs Forrest (A5), Miss Stewart (D3), Mr Black and Dr Boddy have been cancelled.
  • Portfolios for the classes of Mrs Forrest and Miss Stewart are unlikely to be available until early next term.
  • Pizza lunches will be re-scheduled for early next term (date to be advised).
Thank you to our wonderful administration team who have worked extremely hard to ensure everyone is communicated with accurately and in a timely fashion.
Please remember that 'staying home in isolation' means just that. Do not leave the home to go to school, work, to meet with friends or family, to go to any public places, sports or community events or gatherings. This is to protect those members of our community who are most vulnerable to the disease, including babies, pregnant women, cancer patients and others who are unable to be immunised. Measles can spread quickly to others before you start to feel unwell, and several days before the rash appears.
